The annual Grand Bottle Tombola held by For Rutland at this year's Rutland County Show was a great success.

The event, which took place on 2 June as a part of the 190th Rutland County Show celebrations, raised over £8,500 on the day.

Tickets were sold for £1 for the chance to win anything from a bottle of shampoo to a bottle of champagne. Great fun was had by volunteers and participants, whilst raising vital funds for Citizens Advice Rutland.

For Rutland want to thank everyone who generously donated the amazing 1450 bottles collected; the many volunteers who helped to organise and run the event; and especially the hundreds of people who visited the marquee at The Rutland Show to buy tickets.

The money raised goes towards funding two Specialist Advisers at Citizens Advice Rutland who provide non-medical advice and support to local people living with long term health conditions.

For Rutland also want to thank John Porters Dry Cleaning in Oakham, Nelsons Butchers in Uppingham and Ron Grant Removals, all of which have supported For Rutland for over a decade.
