On Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of September 2022, a musical extravaganza is set to take place at Rutland Showground, with tickets being reduced to half price if purchased before the 4th of September.

Carlyon Acton-Reed, who organised July's very successful Rutland Music Festival, has been working hard to arrange this exciting event and is keen to get the Rutland community out and about, enjoying the last of the summer weather in this two day music event.

With the increase in living costs, Carolyn has decided to discount the tickets by a whopping 50%, and will even be refunding 50% to those who have already purchased their tickets.

Carolyn said: "It does appear that the cost of living worries are having a huge impact on events that we run where people have to pay to come along. Many of the event planners I met have or are cancelling paid events and many of these events will stop running going forward. I don't want that to happen in Oakham so have made the following decision:

"From today (Friday 25th of August) until next Sunday the 4th of September, all tickets for the Live Music at The Rutland Showground will be HALF PRICE. Everyone who has purchased tickets full price will be refunded accordingly after the 4th September.

"BUT the event will only go ahead if we reach sales of 2,000 paid people EACH night. If sales don't get to these numbers, I will have to cancel the live music events next Sunday and going forward, and possibly not go ahead with next years Rutland Music Festival.

"I wish so much so that I could run all my events for free but the costs and work involved mean that I can't. If you want these events to continue in Oakham, please tell everyone you know about this and lets sell lots of tickets. Just so you know we have sold 500 tickets so far over the two nights, so need just another 1500 to make the events go ahead.

"These events are amazing at the Rutland Showground and the comments I received from the past events were great, so I will be absolutely gutted if they can't contunue."

On FRIDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER see Oakham's fabulous local band Manky Beds play from 7.30pm and the amazing Bon Giovi play from 8.30pm.

On SATURDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER visitors can enjoy Elvis (The King) from 7.30pm and then Take Off That (Take That Tribute Band) play from 9.30pm.

£10 per adult per day NOW £5

£15 per adult VIP per day NOW £7.50

£5 per person Carers per day NOW £2.50

£15 per adult FOR BOTH DAYS NOW £7.50

£20 per adult VIP FOR BOTH DAYS NOW £10

Under 16's will go FREE!
