People who travel by bus in Rutland are being given the chance to talk to Rutland County Council and ask questions at an open forum to discuss local transport services.
This Bus Users Meeting will be held in public at Rutland County Council's Oakham offices on Thursday the 10th of November 2022 and will run from 11.00am to 12.30pm.
Passengers can ask questions about current timetables, bus routes, availability of services and plans for Rutland's bus network. The Council is asking for questions to be submitted in advance. This can be done in one of four ways:
- A paper form that can be collected from local libraires in Oakham, Uppingham, Ketton and Ryhall and returned to library staff
- Questions can be submitted in writing and sent by post to: Transport Team, Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham LE15 6HP.
- Email your question to: [email protected]
- Call 07973854494 and leave your question as a voicemail message
The Council is asking for questions to be submitted by 5.00pm on Monday the 7th of November 2022. A full list of all the questions received and any answers will be published on Rutland County Council's website after the meeting, for anyone who can't attend.
Councillor Rosemary Powell, Cabinet Member for Transport at Rutland County Council, said: "We understand how important local transport services are for those who rely on buses to get around. Operating a rural bus network is particularly challenging right now but we are determined to provide the best service that we can and want to hear from passengers about where they think we can make positive changes."
