Rutland County Council has opened a public consultation on the county's local plan, asking residents and members of the public to give their opinion on additional evidence that has been made public.
The consultation will be open for six weeks, closing at 5pm on Monday 16 February and will include additional evidence supporting the Rutland Local Plan.
'The Local Plan is a vital document that will shape how Rutland grows and develops over the coming years,' said Rutland County Council's Portfolio Holder for Planning Cllr Paul Browne.
'These additional pieces of work have been prepared in response to the Planning Inspector's request and are intended to support her independent assessment of the plan.
'I would encourage residents, Parish Councils and stakeholders to take the time to review the documents and submit their comments, as all representations will be considered by the Inspector as part of the examination process.'
The documents that are being consulted on include the following:
- Detailed assessment of three sites previously not subject to full assessment:
- Land on north side of Cold Overton Road, Langham
- Main Street, Barleythorpe
- The Paddocks South, Langham
- Detailed re-assessment of sites previously considered not to have potential for allocation for residential or employment purposes
- Assessment of an additional at Hooby Lane North (Stretton) and its potential allocation the extraction of crushed rock and building stone
- An updated Sustainability Appraisal, including two further reasonable alternative options for the location of new residential development across the plan area
The documents can be found under the 'Post Submission Documents - Council Documents' section of Rutland County Council's Examination Library.
For anyone without internet access, printed copies of these documents are available to view at the Customer Self Service area of the Council's Catmose House offices in Oakham.
