On Saturday 22nd March, Oakham Castle will be holding a free Medieval Fun Day to celebrate Rutland's rich past. 

Whether you're a history buff, parent looking for weekend plans or new to the area and keen to learn more, there is something for everyone at this event, including historical re-enactment by The Ferres Household.

There will also be arts and crafts on display, live music, historical presentations and the chance to learn more about armoury and herbology. 

If this sounds like thirsty work, visit the Castle Cottage Café for refreshments. 

This event is free and is running with the Support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 22nd March at Oakham Castle. Please note there is no parking on site.
