Home Instead is a world leading private home care company founded in 1994 by husband and wife Paul and Lori Hogan. The pair struggled to find personalised care that would suit Paul's grandmother's needs, and from this, the concept of Home Instead was born.

With the creation of the company, Grandma Manhart was able to stay in her home and lived many years longer than expected. This experience inspired their desire to help other families by providing private home help for ageing loved ones.

Now the company operate globally, but pride themselves on providing 'a local touch'.

Home Instead came to the UK in 2005, with an Oakham based office opening up soon after.

The Oakham team can be found at number 6, The Maltings, and are recruiting Care Professionals to join their team, with flexible full and part-time roles available.

Lucy works for Home Instead on a part-time basis, fitting the work around her busy family schedule.

Lucy said: "I have two boys, both now school age. I joined Home Instead when they were small and I started with just those few hours to fit round them, because it was so important for me to be home and be mum.

"The main benefit for care work is the degree of flexibility, you know, care is needed by people 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, so there's always time or someone to match you to, whether you are a night owl or, as I said myself, I'm an early bird, so getting up and helping people get up, washed and dressed for the day fits with me and my life."

Home Instead offer various roles, around the clock, so there really is something for everyone.

Care Professionals with the company can choose their hours to fit in around whatever life commitments they may have, attending to clients like Lucy, early in the day, or helping out with evening and night time routines.

Care Professionals attend customers in their homes, ensuring that those receiving care feel comfortable and supported in their own environment.
