How many Oakham homes will get £100 winter energy payments?

Just over two thirds of a county's households will receive the £100 winter energy payment promised in the Autumn Budget.
Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey announced in yesterday's Budget speech (October 28) that households across England from council tax bands A to D would receive a one-off payment of £100 to help with rising energy costs.
Approximately 12,690 homes in Rutland are eligible for the relief, representing 69 per cent of all households across the county.
Mr Healey said the £2.6 billion scheme had been drawn up to "take the pressure off" households during the winter months, while "seeing people through to the spring".
Notwithstanding Rutland's uniquely diminutive size, its percentage of households eligible for the relief ranks lower than other rural counties.
Approximately 73 per cent of households in Wiltshire and Herefordshire qualify, compared to 79 per cent in Shropshire and 85 per cent in Northumberland.
By contrast, 91 per cent of households under the nearby Peterborough City Council will receive the cash.
Payments are expected to be made directly into bank accounts in January 2027.
In addition to the £100 energy relief payments, funded by additional taxes on bank profits, Mr Healey also committed to scrapping standing gas charges while extending the 5p cut in fuel duty until July.
Leader of the Opposition Kemi Badenoch criticised the package of measures as "not bold enough."
