The Rutland Big Christmas Market is getting ready to host over 75 small businesses from across Rutland, Leicestershire and the surrounding areas at a Christmas extravaganza this weekend.

The event is set to be one of the biggest Christmas events Rutland has seen, with over 75 small businesses featuring at both indoor and outdoor stalls.

There will be food, drink, children's clothing, toys, homeware, giftware, women's clothing, men's accessories, Christmas decor and much more on offer at the Rutland Hall event. 

'The Rutland Big Christmas Market' was born from the success of 'The Rutland Big Sale' in February 2023. Both events have been organised by two local business women, Charlie Pallett (The Rutland Blogger) and Victoria Bullet (PRINK).

Together the duo run 'Rutland Women in Business', a community group for small business owners in and around the Rutland area.

They explained: "When we organised The Rutland Big Sale, both Victoria and I were pregnant and expecting our first children. Fast forward to today, we have baby Hali and baby Stanley and are enjoying life as new mums, whilst together organising The Rutland Big Christmas Market, creating an event we felt the area has been previously missing. 

"Our events aim to provide a pop-up one-stop destination for shoppers to embrace the spirit of shopping small and supporting small businesses from around the local area. The response has been nothing short of phenomenal, with a flurry of applications leading to a quick sellout and a waiting list for future events.

"So be sure to mark your calendars for Sunday 3rd December from 11am to 5pm and join us at 'The Rutland Big Christmas Market' at Rutland Hall for a day filled with Christmas spirit, scrumptious food finds, glorious giftware, and joyous festive celebrations."
