Rutland Police discovered a huge cannabis grow last week; an investigation is ongoing (Rutland Police).

Two men have been arrested after Rutland Police found around 100 cannabis plants near Oakham last week.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Following a call made to police last Thursday afternoon (15 August) regarding two men acting suspiciously in North Luffenham, officers attended the location. 

"After an area searched was carried out, one of the men was detained nearby while the second man was detained a short time after in the Wing area. 

"As part of their enquiries, officers attended an address in High Street, Morcott and found within the property around 100 cannabis plants. 

"Two men aged 18 and 59 were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. They have since been released on bail and the investigation is continuing."
