Lancaster Bomber flypast planned for Oakham, plus parade, parties and more

A massive celebration of Rutland's armed forces community will be taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June.
In a special weekend commemorating Armed Forces Day, VE Day and VJ Day, there will be events taking place across Oakham.
On Saturday 28 June, there will be a special Armed Forces & Veterans' breakfast at the Grainstore.
Furthermore, the CAMRA Rutland Beer Festival is offering free entry to current and former service members who can provide ID.
Meanwhile, on Sunday 29 June, a parade will be taking place from 10am. It will start at Oakham Castle, making its way to All Saints Church.
And then, at All Saints Church itself at 10.30am, a service of thanksgiving will be held, open to all.
And from 12-5pm on Sunday, there will be festivities take place on Cutts Close. Expect live music, military vehicles, stalls, food and drink, and more.
There will also be a Lancaster Bomber flypast on Sunday afternoon, with exact timings to be confirmed.
