There is still time to share your views about leisure and recreation in Rutland, as part of the Future Rutland Conversation.

Future Rutland's leisure and recreation conversation runs until Monday 3 May and everyone's voice counts, whether you take part in organised sport, are heading back to the gym, enjoy local attractions or are an avid walker.

Rutland County Council has been hearing from people right across Rutland, who have been sharing their views on leisure and recreation in the county through a special survey, online forums and in virtual discussions.

The council says if you haven't joined this conversation yet, register online or contact Rutland County Council by phone to take part. Have your say on what you enjoy and need during your leisure time in Rutland now, and what you'd like to see in the future.

Coun Lucy Stephenson, Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, said: "One important aspect of the Future Rutland Conversation is to gain a better understanding of people's leisure and recreation needs in the county.

"That could be about how individuals and families spend their free time, the ways we look after our physical and mental wellbeing, hobbies and interests, or enjoying days-out again now that COVID restrictions are lifting."

Coun Stephenson continued: ""Please join this conversation if you haven't yet taken part, because we want to hear from as many different communities and people as possible. That will give us better understanding what of what residents and visitors of all ages need from their leisure time in Rutland and allow us to incorporate this information into a new vision for the entire county."

Take part in Future Rutland's Leisure and Recreation conversation online at: www.rutland.gov.uk/futurerutland by Monday 3 May. If you don't have access to the internet, call Rutland County Council on: 01572 722 577.
