The annual fundraising quiz hosted by the Prickleback Urchin Hedgehog Rescue team is back this May 2024.
Hosted by Rachel and Jay, founders of the local hedgehog rescue, the annual quiz is back for its third year.
The quiz, set to take place on Friday 17 May, was first held in 2022 and has become a popular addition to the local calendar with Rutland's philanthropic community.
The quiz will take place a week after Hedgehog Awareness Week 2024, and the Prickleback Urchin Hedgehog Rescue team are hoping to raise funds for and awareness of their home-run hedgehog sanctuary.
Set up in July 2021, this haven has hosted over 200 prickly residents and, earlier this year, officially gained charitable status.
Prior to this, founders Rachel and Jay funded and administered all treatment needed to get the hedgehogs back out into the wild - with the support of Rutland Veterinary Practice and generous local residents, who bought and donated goods to the sanctuary.
Relying so much on local support, these now annual quiz nights are an essential part of the fundraising process for the team.
For only £6 per person, you can support the rescue centre and enjoy an evening of community-led entertainment.
So gather your team of 4 - 6 people, or meet and join up with fellow quizzers on the night.
The event will take place at Victoria Hall this year, where doors will open at 7pm. The quiz starts at 7:30pm.
