Oakham Nub News has you covered for updates on the Rutland county Council Election count as it happens.

Yesterday, Thursday 4 May, voters across the country took to the polling stations to decide who would be representing them at town, parish and county council level.

Today, the results are in, and we are bringing you the results as they are announced. 

13 of the 15 Wards in Rutland were contested.  

The Lyddington and Whissendine Wards went uncontested, meaning that Rosemary Powell (IND) will remain as Whissendine's councillor, while Andrew Brown (IND) will fill the role in Lyddington.

The count begins at 10am at the Council Chamber, Rutland County Council, Catmos Street, LE15 6HP, and we will be bringing you the results as they happen.

Exton Ward - 13:35pm

June Patricia Fox (IND) got 209 votes, which sees Kiloran Frances Heckles (CON) victorious with 225.

Oakham North West Ward - 13:57pm

Steve McRobb (LAB) with 276, and Ramsay Ross (LAB) with 217, have won the two Oakham North West seats.

Candidates who missed out were Paul Ainsley (IND) 151, Christopher St John Eric Clark (CON) 166, Christopher Philip Nix (IND) 139 and David John Romney (IND) 91.

Greetham Ward - 14:02pm

Nicholas Rupert Mark Begy (IND) 333 takes victory over Jonathan Richard Collins (CON) 87.

Langham Ward - 14:28pm

Andrew John Campbell Davies (LibD) received 81 votes and Edward Graham Heckles (CON) received 163.

Oliver Charles Hemsley (IND) has won with 218.

Oakham South Ward - 14:35pm

Martin John Brookes (IND) 249, Michael John Rook (CON) 363 drew over 600 votes between them.

As such, representing Oakham South will be Paul Morley Browne (LibD) with 909, Diane Elizabeth Ellison (LibD) with 920 and Ray Payne (LibD) with 811 votes.

Normanton Ward - 14:48pm

Elected to represent Normanton Ward are Tim Smith (LibD) with 582 and Gale Frances Waller (LibD) with 603.

Ian Coleman (CON) received 235 votes, and Jonathan Gibbs (CON) received 243.

Barleythorpe Ward - 15:21pm

Representing Barleythorpe will be Tracy Margaret Carr (IND) with 366 votes, and Hans Zollinger-Ball (GRN) with 280.

The remaining candidate, Susan Mary Coleman (CON), received 126 votes.

Ketton Ward - 15:40pm

Re-elected is Karen Payne (CON) with 391 votes, and joining her will be Matthew James Farina (CON) 387.

Performing admirably was Mary Agnes Fiona Canham (LibD) with 346 votes.

Uppingham Ward - 16:12pm

Mo Cerrone (CON) received 236 votes.

For the Liberal Democrats, Stephen Lambert (LibD) with 904 votes, and Christine Susan Wise (LibD) with 780 votes, will represent Uppingham, alongside the current Conservative Leader of Rutland County Council, Lucy Isabel Evelyn Stephenson (CON) with 579 votes.

Ryhall and Casterton Ward - 16:19pm

Lee Raymond Bushby (CON) received 200 votes, while Darnley Michael Rayside (LibD) got 202.

Kevin Gerald Corby (IND) and David John Gladstone Wilby (CON) received 334 and 345 votes respectively, meaning that they will be representing the Ryhall and Casterton Ward.

Cottesmore Ward - 16:28pm

Samantha Jane Harvey (IND), with 302 votes, and Abigail Grace MacCartney (LibD), with 331 votes, will be representing Cottesmore Ward.

Graeme Richard Douglas (CON) received 195 votes.

Oakham North East Ward - 16:54pm

Chris Booth (CON) received 197 votes.

As such, Mark William Chatfield (LibD) with 427 votes and Hannah Sian Edwards (LibD) with 497 votes will be representing Oakham North East Ward.

Braunston and Martinsthorpe Ward - 17:03pm

Giles Michael Charles Clifton (CON) with 408 votes and Andrew Bainbridge Johnson (LibD) with 522 votes will be representing this Ward.

Former Councillor Edward Baines (CON) received 377 votes.
