Root-and-Branch Out CIC is looking to launch a new project called Gone-to-Ground for girls between 11 and 14 years old.

The local food, nature and wildlife charity aims to engage communities in projects around food and the outdoors, nature and the environment.

They offer a range of activities and groups, including Forest School, allotment and food growing projects at Growers Row, woodland management, sustainable crafts and their surplus food Community Fridges and weekly Souper Space, run in partnership with Pepper's- A Safe Place.

The team work with preschools, schools, home educating families, adults of all ages and abilities and the wider community, and are hoping to launch a new club for girls aged 11 to 14.

Gone-to-Ground is a six-week course outdoors in nature, where the team will be cooking, crafting and taking time to unwind and have fun - a new extension to their ever-popular forest school aimed at girls who still love the great outdoors.

The team promised: "If your children enjoyed Forest School when they were little, they will enjoy this!
