A local pub will be opening on Mondays for drinks, beginning Monday 10 July.

The Fox and Hounds in Knossington will be extending its opening hours to include Monday evenings, when you can head on down to the Somerby Road venue to enjoy a range of alcoholic and soft drinks and some good company.

The Fox and Hounds is a cosy local pub located in the heart of Knossington, promising character surroundings and top-quality food from local farmers and producers.

Landlord, Rangel Gadzhonov, returned to the local gastro pub in March after taking a break to set up a whopping 6 other pubs in Cambridge and Norfolk.

Since his return, Rangel has been making big changes to the venue, including introducing longer opening hours, hosting family events and welcoming new food offers to get the tastebuds, and your wallets, tingling.

He said: "We are a great Gastro pub, but I am keen to offer more. I want to offer an evening a week of cheaper food, quiz nights, and more events to get more people in and enjoying the building and the atmosphere.

"I am so passionate about the pub and about my job, it is about more than just a wage for me, and this is such a great building, it deserves to see some life."

The pub has had a busy start to the year, hosting their series of monthly quiz nights, launching a new steak night deal, welcoming a £3 drinks deal.

Next on their busy schedule, the team are getting ready to open on Monday evenings for drinks, commencing 10 July.

The venue is also set to host a beer festival this month.

The beer fest will start at 12pm on 15 of July and will include live music from 1:30 - 3:30pm, 4:30 - 6:30pm and 7:30 - 9:30pm.

The event will also go ahead on 16 July to use up the left over beer, and entry will be free on the second day of the event.

On top of this there will be a range of visiting beers on tap from Castlerock Brewery, Oakham Ales, Bakers Dozen Brewing and Stonegate.

There will also be a range of ciders on offer, as well as prosecco, Pimms, and hot food, including a hog roast, burgers, hot dogs and vegetarian options.

Adult tickets cost £3, and children over 6 years old cost only £1, with under 6s going free.
