Local rugby club recognise members and select new leaders at AGM

Oakham Rugby Football Club (ORFC) recently held its Annual General Meeting, which saw a new committee elected and long standing members recognised for their contribution to the hundred-year-old club.
Oakham Rugby Football Club, located in Rutland, England, is a well-established sports hub with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1923.
The club plays its home matches at the Oakham Showground, providing a local hub for rugby enthusiasts of all ages.
Over the years, Oakham RFC has developed a reputation for its strong community involvement and commitment to fostering talent through its various youth and senior teams. The club's dedication to the sport and its inclusive atmosphere make it a popular spot within the local community, contributing to the social and athletic life in Rutland.
President for the 2023/24 season, Barbara Crellin was "privileged at the well attended AGM to present the Chris Wood Trophy to Chris Howe and to award Honorary Life Membership to Richard Gant."
The Chris Wood Trophy is awarded for continued service, dedication and contribution to the success of the club.
Barbara Crellin, added: "We have a new Chair, Alan Maddison, and Vice Chair, Darren Taylor, as well as Secretary, Andy Cockerill, and Treasurer, Neil Broad, to take us into the 2024-25 season. Best of luck to all."
