Oakham Medical Practice has revealed that, in October, 166 appointments were missed by patients.
This comes as Rutland residents share their frustration about a lack of infrastructure and facilities - namely ledisyre facilities, medical centres and NHS dentists - as new houses are built across the rural county.
One resident commented: "Highest council tax band, yet very poor infrastructure - insufficient for the growing number of residents. As others have said, sort this out before building more houses!"
Still, this frustration at limited medical provisions has not stopped residents from missing GP appointments, despite the surgery making a plea for residents to cancel appointments rather than miss them so that other patients can be seen.
The team Tweeted: "Last month, 166 appointments were not attended, of which, 30 were GP appointments. If you can no longer attend, please cancel so the appointment is available for another patient"
