A Church Street sweet shop has introduced new items to their list of sweets and treats available in store, and the team are celebrating with a 'cool' giveaway to see you through the summer months.

Warner's Traditional Sweet Shop, located in the heart of Oakham and run by Chris Warner and team, is now serving iced coffee and waffle bowls on top of their wide range and new flavours of milkshake.

Since the shop opened in December 2021, the team have introduced a huge variety of goods to their shelves, from tubs of traditional sweets and Rossi's ice-cream, straight from the Essex seaside, to DIY sweet boxes, milkshakes and other treats to entice Rutland's sweet-toothed residents.

Now the team will be serving iced coffee and their brand new waffle bowls, just in time for a spot of summertime indulgence.

Their iced coffees come in a range of flavours, including vanilla, butterscotch, pumpkin spice and caramel, and can be made with vegan, plant-based alternatives.

They also provide vegan ice-cream options, so that event vegan residents and tourists to the area can enjoy the cooling summer treat.

Made in house, the waffle bowls can be enjoyed with your favourite regular ice-creams from the Warner's ice-cream counter, or let the team whisk you up one of their tried and tested flavour combos:

  • Bubblegum
  • Biscoff
  • Oreo
  • Skittle
  • Crunchie
  • Eton Mess

You can also enjoy these flavours in one of their already-popular milkshakes, all made in store by the enthusiastic team.

To celebrate the launch of their brand new waffle bowls, the Warner's team are holding a grand giveaway. One lucky family can win 4 waffle bowls, 2 large and 2 small.

Follow the team on Facebook to keep up to date with more information on their giveaway, which begins on Monday 26 June, or visit them this Sunday at the Rutland Food and Drink Festival.

Chris and the team will also be at Extonbury on 1 July, so pop over to say hi.

For now though, catch them in their Market Street store 7 days a week!
