A local walking group is seeking volunteers.

Hosted by Active Rutland, Walk Together Oakham is a local walking group aimed at all who wish to get active, see more of the Rutland countryside and make friends.

Active Rutland is a physical activity development group from Rutland County Council, who bring together physical activity partners, promote and develop local opportunities and help people of all ages on their journey of physical activity.

The organisation aims to provide you with everything to do with sport and physical activity in Rutland. Whether you are a group looking for funding, an individual looking for a class or a coach looking for qualifications, you can find it on the Active Rutland website.

Now, the team are launching a Walk Together group, and need volunteers to help arrange and guide walks in and around the local area.

You will lead a variety of walks, ranging in length and group size, and will receive full training.
