Look which Oakham pubs are back open Monday

Oakham publicans are preparing to re-open on Monday, though for some they must wait until May.

A walk around the town centre yesterday saw preparations being made with a large marquee erected in one of the beer gardens.

Several had displays revealing their Big Day, but for some, who lack a beer garden, they cannot open until May 17.

The re-openings come as the government eases lockdown as part of its roadmap.

It was heartening yesterday to see a delivery van from distributor Small Beer and also to see many barrels of the amber and dark nectar outside the Grainstore Brewery, whose Brewery Tap pub will also be open from Monday April 12.

From Monday, pubs and other hospitality venues are allowed to open, offering outdoor, table service only.

As already mentioned, those without gardens must wait until May 17 when all pubs can offer service indoors.

This is not a complete guide, so any publicans or others who wish to add their re-opening details in the comments section underneath the article on our Facebook page, you are more than welcome to. Furthermore, please add your details to our FREE 'Local List' business listings service.

And don't forget, Rutland also has a fine range of country pubs also needing our support.

For opening times and details, please check their websites and Facebook pages.
