Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa is marking another key milestone in its expansion plan this month, with the introduction of two new Directors.

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa – previously Barnsdale Hall Hotel – is a luxury country retreat situated on the shores of Rutland Water. It changed hands in 2020 and has seen a great deal of changes, but none so much as the new and thriving team that make the hotel such a special place.

Joanne White has taken the role of Managing Director, with Nicola Felton joining her as Director of Revenue. Both will play a vital role in the growth of the business as its extensive renovations continue.

Joanne (Jo) White, joins the Rutland Hall team with over 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry. Working across an impressive portfolio of businesses from the InterContinental Hotels Group and DeVere, to the privately owned Horwood House Hotel. She comments: "I'm a huge believer in investing in people and talent and am very much looking forward to working closely with the team to develop our collective vision of Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa becoming one of the leading resort destinations in the UK."

After over 10 years at Coombe Abbey in Coventry, the Rutland Hall team were delighted to welcome Nicola Felton, who has taken the position of Director of Revenue. Nicola has over 30 years' experience in the sector, working her way up in the revenue division at Hilton Worldwide before taking up her role at Coombe Abbey. She adds: "It's a pleasure to be joining the team at Rutland Hall, particularly at such a pivotal point in its journey. I can see the passion that everyone working here has for the venue and I'm very much looking forward to developing and nurturing this as I settle into my role."

The hotel is currently undergoing a number of practical upgrades too, including newly furnished and decorated bedrooms, a beautiful new restaurant (Blossoms), a revamped conferencing and events space, and a complete renovation of the Main Hall, which has seen the team working closely with English Heritage to restore the beautiful, traditional hall to its former glory.

There's also more to be announced as the year progresses, so stay tuned!
