UPDATE: The cat has been found and is being reunited with her owners tonight, 11 May. Thank you all for your help and support.

A missing cat has undertaken a journey all the way from Hampshire, on the south coast, to Rutland.

A family from Hampshire are still on the lookout for their missing cat, having learned that it travelled all the way to Rutland Water from their family home in Hampshire.

The family suspect that the animal got into the van of a neighbour and jumped out in Rutland, following sightings of the cat at Rutland Water Campsite.

Leah went missing on Friday 28 April.

She is a long haired tortoiseshell and is greatly missed by her owners.

A cat matching Leah's description has since been spotted on Gibbet Lane, Rutland.

The family have asked anyone who spots her to contain her if possible, and to call 0771673851.

They have said their gratitude to all who have offered support.
