A new exhibition opened at Victoria Hall's Allman Gallery this week.

'Urban Landscapes' by Kevin Holdaway will be at the community space on Oakham High Street from now until 21 July 2023.

Kevin is a Midlands based traditional printmaker, who graduated 1989 in fine art from Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montfort University), where he has worked as senior technical instructor in fine art print for the last thirty years. He is also a member of the Royal Society of Painters/Etchers.

He is an expert in all traditional printmaking processes, but his personal work focuses on reduction linocut. His subject matter encompasses his environment, often of an architectural nature.

He was drawn to study art as he wanted to design special effects, but discovered the art of printing while studying in Leicester. He has not looked back, and looks forward to his upcoming exhibition in Oakham.

The home of many local events and exhibitions, Victoria Hall and the Allman Gallery opens from 10am until 4pm, excluding Sundays, when it is closed.

At the current exhibition, there will be work on display and available to purchase.
