A section of Ashwell Road will be closed for 2 days, starting today for roadworks.

Roadworks are taking place on Ashwell Road between Queen's Road and Springfield Way today and tomorrow, 23 - 24 February 2023.

Potholes are being replaced and speed bumps repaired along the 0.4 mile stretch of road.

However, these roadworks have resulted in the digging up of a handful of freshly painted road markings. These markings are primarily confined to the speed bumps that are being replaced and a handful of the 'broken white lines' in the middle of the road

Last week, road markings along this stretch of road were repainted. Unfortunately for Rutland County Council, and for the tax payer, this means that the markings will have to be done again once the works have been completed.

Find out more about the roadworks here.
