A Notice of Election has been published for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Leicestershire and Rutland policing area.

If the election is contested the poll will be held on Thursday 2 May 2024. Further details can be found in the full Notice of Election, published online.

Nomination papers for candidates wishing to stand in this election are available from the Police Area Returning Officer at Leicester City Council.

Nomination papers must be completed and delivered to the Police Area Returning Officer at Leicester City Council, City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester, LE1 1FZ between the hours of 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday following the date of the publication of the notice of election, but no later than 4pm on Friday 5 April 2024. 

The current Police Crime Commissioner is Conservative, Rupert Matthews.

Labour have out forward their candidate, Rory Palmer.
