A planning application for up to 50 homes on land to the north of Cold Overton Road near Langham has been called back to Rutland County Council's Planning Committee.

The application was subject to a resolution to refuse when it was first considered by the Committee on the 15th of March 2022. However, it has been recalled to a special meeting on the 28th of April following a legal challenge by the applicant.

A further report will be produced by Rutland County Council in advance of the meeting, clarifying the factual and legal position and addressing all points raised by the applicant in their challenge. As part of the report, a further resolution will also be put forward for the Committee to consider and then vote on.

Letters are being sent to all those who commented on the original planning application that was considered in March.

A full agenda and reports for the Special Planning Committee Meeting on Thursday the 28th of April 2022 will be published online. The meeting will be 'part heard', meaning there will be no public deputations or questions as part of the proceedings.
