Oakham Book Swap is supporting Root-and-Branch-Out CIC this July.

Each month, a local group who swap and exchange books while raising money for a range of good causes, select a new local or national charity to support.

Run by Lisa Batty, Oakham Book Swap collects donations and runs a raffle in aid of a different charity each month, all while running a regular book box outside her family home when the weather allows it.

Oakham Book Swap is a community-led project that hosts a pop-up book swap box on Tyne Road, Oakham. Residents are invited to pick up a new book or drop off unwanted books to share with other readers.

The swap contains fiction and non-fiction books for anyone aged 3 - 93, and is open to all. It opens when the weather permits and the team host regular 'Book Swap' events to raise much-needed funds for local and national charities.

Lisa explained: "Any donations left this month, and money raised through our raffle donations on Sunday 9 July, will be donated to Root-and-Branch-Out. You can also help by following their Facebook page, visiting their website and sharing what they do with your friends."
