The Grainstore Brewery & Tap have won 3 awards in the 2023 Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) East Midland Champion Beer of Britain Regional Competition.
The Oakham-based brewery and taproom was founded in 1994 and opened its doors in September 1995. Today it is recognised as one of the best brew pubs in Britain.
The combination of superb beers, brewed on the premises, and a traditional pub setting has proven to be a winner, earning the accolade of The Good Pub Guide 'Own Brew Pub of the Year' on no less than five occasions in 2003, 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2019.
Now they have won another 3 awards to add to the host of awards and accolades that can already be seen on almost every wall of the popular venue.
The Grainstore Brewery & Tap team said that they are "delighted to be able to announce that we have won three awards at this years CAMRA East Midlands Champion Beer of Britain Regional Competition!"
Rutland Beast has picked up a Silver in the 'Brown Ales and Red Ales, Old Ales and Strong Milds' category.
Rutland Panther was awarded a Gold in the 'Milds' category.
Nip has been awarded a Gold in the Barley Wines and Strong Ales category.
They added: "A HUGE congratulations to our brewing team as these follow hot on the heals of Nip and Rutland Beast picking up Gold awards at the SIBA Midlands Region Champion Beer of Britain competition too."
On top of this, Rutland locals can now enjoy a new brew from the established brewery.
Just in time for the Data World Cup 2022, they have released a 'drink from home beer' called Metatarsal.
Brewed for those that are staying at home, Metatarsal is a golden, hopped 4.3abv ale being sold in casked of 5, 10 or 20 litres.
