Rutland Citizens Advice, with support from Rutland County Council, has launched a one-size fits all volunteer website called Volunteer Plus.

This free county resource will act as an online matching agency for anyone keen to offer their time, skills and energy to organisations in Rutland that rely on volunteers to run smoothly.

Designed to be safe and simple to use, anyone can register their personal details and interests, as well as the amount of time they have to offer, and the powerful filtering tools will give them a selection of local exciting volunteering options to choose from and apply for.

The opportunities to help out reach far beyond the obvious including the community fridges, local radio roles, Growers Row allotment, zero-waste cafes, and sailing with the disabled.

Many of the organisations recruiting volunteer positions will provide training, necessary DBS checks and offer ongoing support to its base of helpers, so there are no barriers to getting involved.

If you are a community group, charity or voluntary organisation in Rutland that needs volunteers for any sort of a role, then you can register your business for free and gain access to the growing database of active volunteers interested in lending a hand. The role will be instantly promoted to correctly matched individuals.

This new website is continually updated so register for free and do something rewarding.
