The High Sheriff of Rutland, in partnership with the High Sheriff of Leicestershire, has raised almost £7,000 for charity with two special osprey cruises on Rutland Water.
In July, High Sheriff of Rutland Susannah Fish OBE QPM and High Sheriff of Leicestershire Mel Thomas QPM hosted two special osprey cruises to raise money for Warning Zone.
Warning Zone is an interactive experience based in Leicester that teaches children and young people potentially life-saving skills and helps them understand important safeguarding.
Warning Zone partners with Leicestershire Fire and Rescue to teach children about real-life scenarios, e-safety and how to keep themselves safe in their engaging life skills centre.
The two boat trips were fully sold out and guests enjoyed beautiful weather and canapes, all while raising funds for a good cause.
The cruises also marked several special anniversaries, including: the 30th anniversary of the Rutland Osprey Project, the 40th anniversary of the Rutland Belle, the 50th anniversary of Rutland Water, and the 70th anniversary of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.
The boat trips raised almost £7,000 for Warning Zone.
