A pharmacy group is to run the new Rutland Vaccination Centre, based at Oakham Enterprise Park.

The move means that the Rutland GP practices can no longer book appointments .

Rutland Health PCN said this week: "Anyone over 16 can access these clinics for first doses. People over 17¾ who had their first vaccination more than 56 days ago can access second doses by booked appointment or walk in. At the moment for people aged 12-17 a single dose is recommended.

As Nub News reported earlier, the clinics at Oakham Enterprise Park on Ashwell Road are on October 2, October 15, October 19, and October 12.

Rutland Health has now finished Phase 2 of the vaccination programme.

It posted on social media: "Since December 2020 we have delivered 44500 Covid vaccinations, which includes just under 23000 first vaccinations and nearly 22000 second vaccinations.

"Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff, retired clinicians and volunteers who have worked so hard to support the vaccination programme over the last few months."
