Oakham: Rick Wilson elected as Ryhall and Casterton Ward

Rick Wilson of the Green Party has been elected as the Ward Member for Ryhall and Casterton following a local by-election yesterday, Thursday the 10th of March 2022.

After being nominated in February, yesterday saw the candidates, Richard Foster and Rick Wilson, go head to head in the polling booth.

Mr Wilson was elected with 281 votes and will serve as a Rutland County Councillor until the next round of normal council elections in 2023.

The Conservative Party Candidate, Richard Foster received 268 votes throughout the day, making this election a close one.
