A vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the Uppingham Ward of Rutland County Council District Council on the 14th of March 2022. This is following the resignation of Councillor Miranda Jones.

Miranda was a Green Party Councillor in Uppingham from the 7th of May 2019 until the 10th of March 2022.

Her resignation comes just as Green Party candidate Rick Wilson is elected as Ryhall and Casterton Ward.

The full Notice of Vacancy has now been published on the Rutland County Council website.

An election will be held to fill the vacancy within 35 days after the required notice is made in writing to the Returning Officer by two local government electors.
