Oakham School celebrates outstanding GCSE results

Students across the country opened their GCSE results this morning (21st August) with Oakham School reporting outstanding results.
This year's cohort achieved 20% Grade 9s, 38% Grade 9-8s and 55% Grade 9-7s, which is the highest in all three categories across the last 3 years.
Thirteen students impressively managed to achieve straight 9s and 8s, with 49% of students getting Grade 9-8 in History and 48% in Geography.
Speaking about these great results, Headmaster Henry Prince said 'Every single result matters, and today we celebrate all those individual accomplishments. Each success reflects personal determination, underpinned by the support of the whole Oakham Community.'
Deputy Head Dr Leo Dudin said 'these results are a testament to our pupils' resilience and focus. They embraced the challenge of learning how to learn, supported by revision workshops, individual supported studies, and a close partnership between school and home.'
Congratulations to this year's cohort from the Oakham Nub News team.
