Oakham School celebrates outstanding International Baccalaureate results

Oakham School is celebrating a fantastic International Baccalaureate results, with one student placing in the highest-performing IB students worldwide.
The International Baccalaureate is a globally recognised, non-profit educational programme that spans a child's educational career from ages 3 to 19, encouraging critical thinking, global awareness and independent research.
The exceptional results of Oakham School's students have led to students achieving offers for top universities, including Oxford, Durham, University College London, Edinburgh and Warwick.
Nine students achieved 40 points or more – a benchmark equivalent to more than four A* grades at A Level and an increase on last year's results.
One student achieved the maximum 45 points, placing them among the highest-performing IB students worldwide.
Deputy Head Academic Dr Leo Dudin said: "Our students have thrived due to the framework and freedom provided by the IB Diploma.
'The personalised programme they have followed has enabled them to achieve outstanding outcomes while exploring a wide range of contemporary global issues.
'Supported by the excellent pastoral and academic care at Oakham, our IB Diploma students emerge as inquisitive, future-focused and confident communicators.'
