Oakham Scouts are now taking online orders for Christmas Trees.

A spokesman said: "As you can imagine, we will be going out of our way to be super covid-secure. We will wear masks, distance from you and will be using gallons of hand sanitizer! By having your tree delivered you won't need to go out to buy it which will reduce the number of non-essential journeys being made."

The registered charity promises a great selection of Premium Grade Nordmann Fir trees - all the same ones you'll find at local premium garden centres, from the same source, but cheaper and with free delivery within Rutland on Saturday 5 December.

The spokesman continued: "We'll reserve your tree as soon as you place your order. Demand will be high so order your tree as soon as possible to guarantee the size you want."

Oakham All Saints Scouting Group also reports much praise from last year's customers.

"I just wanted to let you know how delighted we are with our Christmas tree! We couldn't have picked one better for ourselves. It's a beautiful shape and looks stunning with all its decorations.

The scouts can also can collect and recycle your tree after Christmas too (even if you didn't buy it from us - just order that on the website).

The group's order deadline is Thursday 26 November 2020.
