Oakham: Sunday afternoon in town in pictures

1st Aug 2021 | Local News

After a most excellent, highly-recommended and sumptuous lunch here, Nub News continued the wonderful day with a visit to Oakham.

Great food and great service in a most characterful and historic thatched pub, set in a truly beautiful village just outside Oakham.

Despite the weather putting a dampener on things, many people were enjoying the varied range of stalls at the Oakham Castle and Market Place Pop Up Festival.

The crowd in Cutts Close Park were also delighted with the first post-lockdown public performance of the Rutland Choral Society.

Top marks to Pip and Dom for running such an excellent pub with such lovely food, and to the Oakham Town Centre manager and Oakham Town Council for the events in town today.
