Oakham Tesco is once again collecting winter coats, hats, scarfs and gloves to help 'keep our community warm this winter.'

Emma, the community champion at Tesco in Oakham, is asking local people to donate any unused or unwanted winter coats to help them reach those who need them.

Currently, donations can be taken into the store and handed in to the Customer Service desk. When they have enough collected, a stand will be placed in the foyer so anyone can donate coats and also take them if they are needed.

Emma and the team at Tesco do a lot of important work in our community like this, including regularly running community food banks, supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, and donating community grants to local charities.

In October, Tesco Oakham donated £400 to Parkinson's UK through a charity book stall in store and a further £1,500 to Dying Matters Rutland through their instore Stronger Starts initiative.

For updates on what Emma and the team are up to and how to get involved, visit the Facebook group.
