Oakham Tesco plans first community award

Tesco Oakham wants to recognise lockdown and community hero's of 2020/2021.

With that in mind it is calling for people to nominate who they believe should the the winner of the store's first ever community award.

The winner will receive a trophy and a £50 gift card.

Staff member Iain Ormiston said on Facebook: "We really want to recognise all those people in our community that have gone above and beyond, people who may not get recognised for the amazing job they have/are doing during the pandemic.

"Once we have the nominations we will choose a top 5 we will then run an online poll for everyone to vote for who the believe should be our first community hero.

"When you nominate someone please give us a brief description as to why. Many thanks."
