The series of thefts of work tools and personal items has continued this Christmas at a storage facility and work unit in Langham.
At approximately 02:00 this morning (the 27th of December), a group of individuals in a silver car targeted the site in Langham and broke in to three of the units on the premises.
The first of the three targeted units was accessed via the workshop window. Once inside, it seems that the individuals opened the shutter doors from the inside and proceeded to steal a quadbike and multiple work tools.
They proceeded to smash open the lock of another building on the same site and stole tools belonging to both staff and business owners. Among the stolen items were nail guns and battery powered drills and equipment.
During the break in, the silver car driven by the perpetrators was used to block a tenant of the facility into his caravan so that he could not escape and seek help.
A trailer belonging to one of the victims was also tampered with, but it seems that the perpetrators could not access the contents or tow it as it was thankfully left on the site with only minor damages.
One of the involved parties has said, "If anyone sees or hears of carpentry or building tools and a quadbike being sold, please get in touch."
Anyone with information concerning any of the stolen goods can contact Leicestershire Police, who also cover Rutland, via their website. Alternatively you can message Oakham Nub News on our Facebook page.
