Oakham Town Council has agreed to invite tenders on a three-year contract basis, for flower displays in the town.

At its Full Council meeting on 22 February, Mayor Sally-Anne Wadsworth, said: "We will advertise the tenders, but they can also be sent through the Oakham Town Council website.

"The council currently provides hanging baskets and flower displays all around the town, and this includes the supply of these displays and their watering.

"This not only helps Oakham to be presented as attractive place to come and visit, it also contributes to the Oakham in Bloom competitions which are a part of the Midlands in Bloom annual competition."

Councillors agreed unanimously to invite the tenders on a three-year contract basis. The closing date for tenders will be Friday, 31 March 2023.
