Oakham Town Council has announced the line up for its summer concerts for 2021.

The town council announced it would be staging the events in April as a way of bringing some safe post-pandemic joy to the town.

Councillor Sally-Anne Wadsworth and the town council's events team have been working hard to put together a full programme of the concerts at Cutts Close Park this year.

Town mayor Zoe Neal said on Facebook: "We are very excited to kick off the season on Sunday 27th June and are delighted that we will have two acts performing. You can catch CJ Hatt Music from 12 til 2 followed by Deeping Dixielanders from 2.30 til 4.30.

"Don't forget there will also be stalls from local businesses selling their goods as well as small fairground rides which will be free for children to ride, definitely something for the whole family to enjoy."

Mayor Nealson added: "All events will be run in line with current government guidelines and restrictions. If events have to be changed or cancelled we will let you know as soon as we can and rearrange to the next possible date."
