1. Jane's Charity Christmas Special

In aid of the Air Ambulance and EMICS, the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme, a charity Christmas event will run at Oakham's Congregational Church Hall on the High Street this Saturday.

Jane's Charity Christmas Special will play host to stalls and local people selling Christmas items, gifts, cards, clothes and much more.

The event will run from 09:00 until 15:00 with bargains galore, not to be missed!

Head down into town and check it out this Saturday.

1. Rutland Lion's Firework Display

Rutland Lions will be hosting their annual firework display on Saturday the 6th of November at Oakham Rugby Club.

Gates open at 16:45, with the first display going ahead at 18:15 and the second at 19:00.

There will be burgers and hot dogs available to purchase, as well as free rides for the kids and a bar for the bigger kids. There is parking available at Lands' End.

Tickets can be purchased for £6 in advance via the club's Facebook page . Alternative buy tickets on the night for £8, or check out the family package tickets, also on their Facebook page.

The organisers have requested that people leave their dogs and sparklers at home.

1. Art, Craft and Enterprise Fair

Rutland Garden Village continue to jump from strength to strength, hosting another craft fair this weekend.

The fair will run from 10:00 until 16:00 on Sunday the 7th of November and promises to provide more success for the business park.

This time the event will play host to stalls selling local produce, wax melts and candles, jewellery, food and drink, and local art and crafts, all with a dash of festive sparkle as we enter the run up to Christmas.

It is sure to be the event to pick up your local, eco-friendly, and hand crafted Christmas gifts and stocking fillers.

1. Love Sarah screening at Rutland Museum

On Thursday the 4th of November, Arts for Rutland with Cinema for Rutland will be showing a screening of to 2020 film, Love Sarah.

Directed by Eliza Schroeder, this romance is one not to be missed!

Start the weekend early with this Thursday night screening for only £5.
