As December rolls in, the festivities explode onto the scene this week with Christmas fairs galore!
On Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of December you can catch the Good and New Clothes Sale at one of the commercial buildings down Pillings Road, number 33.
The Christmas Pop-up edition of this event will run from 9am until 1pm and will give visitors the chance to buy good quality new and used clothes and accessories for the winter season for Men and Ladies. There will be garments such as fur and faux fur coats, jackets, dinner suits, sparkly party wear ready for the festive season, and much, much more.
Entry is free but you must book time slots between 9am and 1pm. To do so email [email protected].
Ashwell Village Hall are playing host to a family Christmas Fair this Saturday the 4th of December. The event will run from 10am until 2pm and entry is free. Stalls will be selling lots of festive goodies such as homemade Christmas decorations and handicrafts, homemade cakes, Christmas wreaths, table centres, spring bulb planters and more. While visiting, guests can treat themselves to teas, coffee, and homemade cakes. Mulled wine and mince pies or a fresh bacon bap will also be available to those feeling a bit more naughty than nice.Rutland Garden Centre will once again be opening its doors to the public for a fun filled and this time festive edition of their craft and gift fair.
Having previously run very successful fairs, this reincarnation from Rutland Garden Centre will show support for local businesses selling their festive wares on the run up to Christmas.
This fair will showcase the best local art, crafts, and enterprise and will allow you to shop local this season.
Not only does shopping local put money back into the pockets of local people, but it also shrinks your carbon footprint and allows you to support sustainable and responsible businesses. Stalls will be selling sustainable items such as bees wax produce, decorations made from remnant materials, and homemade, wholesome food and self-care products.
To learn more or to get involved, email [email protected].
Once again, entrance is free, but be sure to take both cash and cards to these events as not all local businesses have the means to accept card payments (especially with the disruption caused by winter storms impacting signals and equipment) and it would be a shame to miss out on that perfect Christmas gift or stocking filler!
