1. The Plough's 3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday the 9th of April 2022, The Plough in Greetham are celebrating their 3rd Birthday. Since being taken over in 2019, the team have grown this independent pub dramatically, adding meal deal nights, quizzes, bingo nights and Tammi's Tearooms, a dog friendly café in the rear garden of the community pub. Now, the team are excited to welcome you to their 3rd Birthday BBQ and Disco, starting at 8pm this Saturday. The team said: "It's our 3rd Birthday and, since it's the first year that we've been allowed to celebrate, we want to make it a big one!" See you there on Saturday.

1. Easter at Oakham Castle

This Sunday the 10th of April 2022, Oakham Castle are hosting an Easter Fun Day.

There will be both adult and child Egg & Spoon Races and an Easter Egg Hunt, as well as food and drink stalls and live music.

The Egg & Spoon Races are FREE to enter and there will be prizes!

The Easter Egg Hunt will run from 11am until 4pm and is just £1 entry. Children can find hidden Easter items in the Castle and Grounds and these will be exchanged for an Easter Egg!

1. The Grainstore Open Mic Night

Hosted by local legend CJ Hatt, The Grainstore are hosting their monthly Open Mic Night on Sunday the 10th of April 2022. Fancy yourself as a Sinatra, Jon Bon Jovi or Tom Jones? Got a bit of Pam Ayres in you? Do you write, sing, perform in any way and fancy showing off what you do in a supportive and friendly atmosphere full of like-minded souls? Then come along to The Grainstore's relaunched Open Mic sessions on Sunday! It's free entry, but come along early and get your name down so that you will be guaranteed a place.
