Oakham woman Carolynn Bennett has scooped £250 to spend in a shopping spree at the town's discount retailer QD – QualityDiscounts.com.

Carolynn was the lucky winner to be chosen at random in the competition which ran in the QD Oakham store on Church Street last month. To enter the prize draw, shoppers simply had to scan their reward card – a free loyalty scheme offered by QD.

Carolyn said: "I am so pleased to have won - it was such a lovely surprise. I just retired at the start of this month so this is a great way to kickstart it! I love QD's gardening ranges, in particular the solar lights, so will be spending my voucher to make my garden look lovely in the winter."
