A fun and educational experience for the whole family, the 'Out of the World!' Exhibition is closing on 9 March, meaning that you only have a few more chances to join the fun.

The exhibition offers a family-friendly exploration of space race toys and TV programmes from the 1950s.

The team said: "A wonderful selection of vintage toys and games inspired by the Space Race and TV programmes of the 1950s-1970s feature in this exhibition at Rutland County Museum.

"From Dan Dare to Thunderbirds, it has something for all ages and will bring back childhood memories for the 'boomers' amongst you."

This exhibition is running until 9 March 2024 and is free.

In the spring, the museum will be hosting the Rutland Youth Open Art Exhibition, which will follow in the jet stream of the 'Out of this World!' Exhibition.

The museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
