Opening date announced for Oakham B&M

The opening date of Oakham's B&M store has been announced.

It was confirmed in April that the former home of Wilko will become a B&M this summer.

Wilko officially closed in Oakham in late September 2023, and while many of the chains were purchased by The Range, B&M secured over 50 stores across the UK.

B&M was founded in 1978 by Malcolm Billington as Billington & Mayman. The chain, which has a massive presence in the north, sells well-known brands like Kellogg's, Coca-Cola and Heinz at a discount. It also sells a wide range of budget home and garden products.

One of the UK's fastest-growing variety retailers, with over three million shoppers per week, B&M "believes in selling Big Brands at sensational prices."

And Oakham shoppers will be able to make use of this when the store opens on Saturday 22 June 2024.
