Opportunist thief steals money from taxi in Oakham

A taxi was targeted by an opportunist thief when the driver popped into Tesco's in Oakham.

The vehicle was left unlocked for just five minutes outside the South Street supermarket on Thursday (7 Nov) morning.

A thief stole £60 while the driver went inside the store at 10am.

Anyone with information - or who witnessed the theft - can call Leicestershire Police on 101.
