A local pub is wishing Rutland residents a Happy New Year with a burger deal not to be missed.

The Plough in Greetham, a seemingly quaint country pub, is at the heart of the lively local community and is a hive of activity throughout the week.

Offering meal deals, music nights, bingo, a weekly quiz and more, the pub has become a popular spot with villagers and residents across Rutland, and always promises a great night out and friendly atmosphere.

Following staff illness, the pub made the tough call to close the kitchen on Wednesday nights - enabling them to keep their staff on and maintain a healthy working environment for both management and junior staff. However, this change meant pausing their incredibly popular burger night.

The Plough also has a well stocked bar and guest ales. Image credit: Nub News.

Residents and patrons will be delighted then, to hear that Burger Week is on the cards - cramming all of the patties, buns, onion rings and extras as possible into one week!

The team shared the news on social media: "Look what we've got next week... It's Burger week!

"Running alongside our normal menu we have all of our burgers, plus a guest burger each evening on buy one, get one for just £2.50.

"Famous already for our burgers, this is a huge deal not to be missed."

On top of this, enjoy £1 off on pints throughout January every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 4pm and 6pm.

Burger Week will kick off on Monday 15 January, and run until Friday 19 January 2024.

Served Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening next week, the team look forward to welcoming you.
